AirFit F40 Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear

I bought this and the F&P Evora for a 2 week test with each. Both are full face hybrid masks. I have been using my previous mask for over a year and find it increasingly uncomfortable, and developed sores at the bridge of my nose. Both of these masks solve that. Both are comfortable, but I found this Airfit F40 a little less forgiving regarding fit, so in my test I experienced more leak than with the Evora. That said, the F40 was whisper quiet and the placement of the exhaust holes result in unobtrusive air flow that does not bother my bed partner. The mask is very soft and forgiving, but fit is everything. Too bad the F40 does not come in a fit pack. I suggest downloading the fit chart (though printing that out to scale can be a challenge, so ask your sleep tech for help if possible).

I have been through 20 masks and this one finally works! I had used 11 different masks and pillows during my sleep study and they couldn’t find one that fit because I have a small head and narrow face. I’ve been using the F20 but it was very uncomfortable, especially on my nose. The headpiece hurt my ears and just didn’t fit right. I kept looking online for new masks, but either the headpiece was too big or mask didn’t fit right. Then I tried the F40 a few 6 weeks ago and have a good comfortable fit. The only issue I have is that you can’t buy a diffuser without buying the kit, otherwise everything finally fits.

Mask is amazing. It is worth every penny I paid for it and I will definitely buy it as a replacement when the time comes.

Picked up my new AirCurve S10 a few days ago. Tech suggested I switch from F10 to F40. The plastic piece on the F40 keeps riding up all night. The cartlidge on the bottom of my nose is so sore I feel like someone punched me in the nose. Going to try F20, and if I don't like it, I will go back to my F10.

I tried the f30 and the medium cushion pinched my nose and was very uncomfortable. So I said why not try the f40 since they have the large wide. I love it. It's so comfortable and fits perfect on my nose. I switch from the f20. If you can get the right cushion size it will be perfect for you.

For being a new designed mask, they really missed the mark with this one. The head gear is not bad but the nose piece on the mask is terrible for comfort and sealing. The older F30 has better seal around the nose piece. Small hose with swivel but no angling movement like the F30. These companies really need to use more input from actual users to design these masks!

I absolutely love this mask. It is ultra light weight and fits fantastic. I have been a longtime AirTouch F20 user because the edges of the silicone irritate my skin. I was a little concerned about that with ordering this mask but I have discovered no problems at all and with the soft body you get less movement of the mask which means less leaks. Try it, I believe you will enjoy this mask.
