The double battery and the backpack cost more, but I have found them well worth the investment. The backpack leaves both hands free and balances the weight so that you have true freedom of movement. The double battery costs more, but your machine will run for hours on a setting of 4 to 5 and you won't have to worry about running out of oxygen before you get your errands finished. I've been on oxygen due to reactive airway disease since the 1990's, and the Inogen 5 with backpack and double battery is the most freedom-giving oxygen setup I've ever used. No, your insurance won't cover these extra items, but if you enjoy freedom, you'll find it well worth the investment. Been using it for a year and have never had a problem with it. The battery makes it a bit heavy but it's very portable.

Have had it out 1time and think I am going to like it however I never received my 2rd battery in my bundle but they say it was in the box .. very disappointed and out the money and I find it not right I have wrote to them many times explaining I never got it but now aren’t returning my emails .. not sure what to do next one battery I know isn’t enough being I have to have set so high.. good thing I hardly leave my home and this is when I need my Inogen

Direct Home Medical shipped quickly, but I never received tracking info until it was delivered. As for the Inogen G5, it was purchased to replace a 10 year old Inogen G2 that has just started throwing low oxygen warnings. Wife won't use the new one because the pulse noise is so much louder than the G2.

I purchased a G5 for my husband and he loves it! He said he would rather use his poc than the home oxygen unit. Thank you DirectHome Medical you have made a difference in my husband's opinion of being on oxygen! I wish the double batteries were a little less expensive. 3 double batteries cost almost as much as the poc!

I didn't want to leave my house with those awful ugly green tanks, and I knew those wouldn't be practical for me to return to work with. The Inogen One G5 Bundle has totally changed that aspect for me! It's not quite as quiet as I was led to believe, but that's of no consequence to me, as we learned to keep noise on at all times. Also....Direct Home Medical is a GREAT place to buy anything you need to keep yourself breathing! They're fast, efficient, incredibly kind....and I NEVER get warm 'n fuzzy about medical supplies, so you can take this one to the bank!

I purchased the oxygen consentrator for my mother. This option is more convenient than using tanks and refilling tanks. It gave her mobility.

I like everything but the pulse, it doesn't put out quite as much oxygen as the regulator on my oxygen bottle.

....so far, after only a few weeks, we can not fault it's performance, design, or build.. in any way. Directhomemedical's service is perfect. Phone calls get responded too. Emails get answered. Projected shipping and arrival times are met. Nice!!!
