Salter's 16SOFT Nasal Cannulas provide a higher level of comfort and softness to oxygen users. 16SOFT's nasal prongs and faceplate are soft and gently curved conforming naturally to your nostrils and upper lip. The attached 7-Foot Oxygen Supply Tube is exceptionally soft so it feels light to the touch; and it stretches as you move to reduce dragging and pressure on the tender areas around your nose, cheeks and ears.

With the 16SOFT Salter wasn't content to improve just the cannula's tubing and faceplate; they also redesigned the bolo to resist twisting while maximizing comfort and wearability. 16SOFT cannulas include a standard oxygen supply tubing connector end so they're easy to attach to longer tubing when necessary.

Every inch of the Salter-Style 16SOFT Nasal Oxygen Cannula is designed to bring a touch of comfort and softness to oxygen therapy. No wonder Salter's 1600 series are the cannulas most often worn by long-term oxygen patients.

USAGE: This cannula is disposable and should be discarded and replaced when it becomes soiled, discolored or the prongs become stiff. For best performance cannulas should be replaced at least once every 14 days. For complete instructions review the documentation that came with your equipment.

would i get different quality if i was a hospital?

I have only used one so far - but the prongs are cocked at an angle that is way to upward and digs into the upper nose. In the last year, I have tried to find a source for comfy cannulas - when i was in the hospital, there was no issue. Either the prongs are screwed up, or the wooshing sound makes it hard to sleep. What is going on? I would pay a premium price, just to get some comfort.

DHM Care Team Replied:

Thank you for your feedback--we’re sorry to hear these cannulas haven’t been as comfortable as you'd hoped. They are actually quite commonly used in hospital and healthcare settings. From your description, it’s possible you may be wearing the cannula upside down. The prongs should curve downward into the nostrils, following their natural shape, rather than pointing upward. If you’re still experiencing discomfort, please reach out to our care team at 888-505-0212, we’d be happy to help find a better fit. Take care.
