I moved to another state and had to get different insurance. Unfortunately for me, they won’t cover my mediation that I’ve been on for 2 years. I went without it for 3 days. I ended up in Urgent care, where I was prescribed same medication, but in an inhaler, instead of a vial. Being without my medication for those few days, ai was barely able to walk 3 feet, let alone take deep breaths. I was struggling. I did get a treatment while at Urgent care, and picked up my mediation. Problem was I couldn’t take a deep enough breathe to inhale the medication, nor hold it for 10 seconds. I did call my doctor back, she told me about an extender. I started doing research & all the reviews I read and decided to take a chance and ordered this one. What can I say? I got this 2 weeks ago: I used the mask the first week and have progressed with using just the breathing tube. What a miracle! I’m getting back to my normal self! I am now able to walk around my house, make dinner and have even went to grocery store & pharmacy today, with no problem! The last time I went, it took me over 2 hours, I couldn’t breathe, every 3 to 4 feet I had to stop. Once done, it was another 20 minutes for me to get the groceries in my car. I know, some might not believe me, but it’s the truth! I have a hereditary disease called Alpha -1 deficiency I’m unable to make a protein that keeps my lungs healthy. I struggle. It’s not going to get any better, but medications help maintain it. With that said, due to missing treatments, I couldn’t take in deep breaths, nor hold my breath. So, I was having problems with my meds. I called my doctor up, she suggested an extender. She didn’t have any, and suggested I call my pharmacy. They would have to order it. I decided to look elsewhere and after reading reviews, I decided to take the chance and purchased the Vortex. What can I say? It’s a life saver! It’s been two weeks and what a difference! The first week I used the face mask, I am now using just the tube. I am able to walk all over my house with no problem, Hell, I actually put up Christmas light 3 days ago! Today, I was able to go the Safeway grocery/pharmacy walking from my car, into the store. I pick up my medication, went from one side of the store to the another and back to my car with no problem. No stopping for breath! I was even able to bring everything in without having to sit down. Im getting my life back! I even sang along with the radio. Something that I haven’t done in a while? To me this little item, is giving me my life back! Im not a 100%, it’s going to take another few weeks, but Im almost there. If you’re struggling. Please don’t suffer. Take the chance and purchase this. This devise replaces a nebulizer machine. It’s a little different, but it’s as close as you can find.

It’s okay, but doesn’t seem to contain medication as well as others I’ve had!

This makes it so much easier to get the full dosage. More goes to the lungs and not the vocal cords. I feel so much better since I've started using the Vortex.

I feel I'm taking in much more medication

Wish it had an audible tone to alert you if you're inhaling too quickly.

These chambers are very durable. Love that I can stick them in the dishwasher but yet they aren't going to break when my little guy drops it by accident. My little and I use them daily for our inhaled meds along with the masks.
