A MUST HAVE FOR ALLERGY SUFFERERS
Inline Bacterial Viral Filters are a great option for sleep therapy users who are prone to sickness or allergies. They actively clean the air as it leaves your CPAP or BiPAP machine, working in conjunction with the machine's built in filters, to provide exceptionally clean air throughout the night.

INSTALLATION: Inline Bacterial Viral Filters are usually attached to the CPAP or BiLevel machine's air outlet; however machines that offer integrated heated tubing require the tubing to be connected directly to the machine. If you want to use an Inline Bacterial Viral Filter with a heated tube consider attaching the BV Filter at the end of the heated tubing closest to the mask. If that is too bulky for you a FeatherWeight connector tube (available elsewhere on this site) can be added to move the BV Filter further away from the mask attachment.

USAGE: Inline Bacterial Viral filters are disposable and should be replaced whenever the white filter material begins to look dirty. These filters will last on average 4-6 weeks before needing to be replaced, however your filters may last for a longer or shorter amount of time depending on environmental conditions. Some users find that using In-Line Bacterial Viral Filters can reduce pressure and therapy effectiveness in humidified CPAP/BiPAP machines. Use of Inline Bacterial Viral filters may adversely effect auto sensing on Auto-CPAP machines especially at low pressures (below 7cm).

Hard to Tell

I bought a 3-pack of the Bacterial Viral Filter even though I have suffered no sinus infections or sores in my nose. Because bacteria is microscopic, it is hard to tell how well the filter is working. I will state that the air smells cleaner since I installed the filter. The filters were delivered on-time and I am very pleased with them.

AWFUL

These are awful. They have a very strong chemical sanitizing spray smell to them. When I put them onto the CPAP - made me cough! I called customer service - they told me to open them up and put them outside for 1-2 days. That would totally defeat the purpose of using them to filter out more allergens. I will buy bacterial filters from a different company in the future.

CPAP Bacterial filter for hose

i've used these filters for years now to prevent the occasional dust or dirt from entering my nostrils and cause an allergy attack. They work well. My order was filled in a timely manner, and the product has continued to work well.
